is the playground grass system compliant to the standards for impact attenuation?
es, ..............to meet the ASTM F1292 (Standard Specification for Impact Attenuation of Surfacing Materials). A specialized device with a head-form sensor is dropped onto the surface to measure the impact. The test measures G-max (maximum acceleration) and the Head Injury Criterion (HIC) score.
Surfaces must generally achieve less than 1000 HIC and less than 200 G-max to be considered compliant and reduce the risk of life-threatening injury. Our playground grass is compliant!
